More than nineteen years fighting discrimination. Admitted as a solicitor in 1994, Lawrence studied law at the University of Leicester, where he founded the institution's first law clinic. He has worked at a top City law firm and at Lambeth Law Centre, where he defeated the United States of America in court — a case covered by BBC Newsnight. The only UK lawyer to have won two of the Top 10 UK advocacy awards, he has lost only one case in nearly two decades.
